UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology
Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri is the UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology and Chairwoman of the UAE Space Agency.
In her role as Minister of State for Advanced Technology, her Excellency spearheads the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s efforts to empower the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and promote research and development in the advanced science and technology sector, to create new industries that drive the shift towards a knowledge-based economy. This, in turn, contributes to the overall mandate of the Ministry to strengthen the UAE’s industrial base, ensure in-country value, and raise the competitiveness of local industries.
As Chairwoman of the UAE Space Agency, Her Excellency is responsible to oversee the Agency’s mandate of pioneering the space sector, ensuring its contribution to the national economy and to the UAE’s sustainable development.
Her Excellency is also the Chairwoman of the Emirates Scientists Council, Chairwoman of the UAE Council for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Chairwoman of the Dubai Future Academy Board of Trustees, and Deputy Project Manager and Science Lead of the Emirates Mars Mission (Hope Prode) at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).

H.E. Peter Fischer
Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UAE
Ambassador Ernst Peter Fischer’s previous position was Director for Energy and Climate Policy and Export Control at the German Federal Foreign Office. His portfolio covered global energy and climate policy as well as export control and international sanctions.
Ambassador Fischer is a career diplomat who joined the Federal Foreign Office in 1986. His professional path has focused on economic and global issues. He has worked at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, including as head of the environmental department and as chief economist, at the Office of the Federal President as foreign policy advisor and at German missions in Washington, DC as head of the economic department, in Tel Aviv as deputy ambassador, as well as in London, Shanghai and Singapore.

Yousif Ahmed Al Ali
Assistant Undersecretary for Water, Electricity & Future Energy Affairs, UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure
Through his role in the Ministry, he is leading the development of strategies and policies for the Electricity & Water sector at the federal level and coordinate the sector’s efforts to achieve the UAE’s 2050 energy vision. Prior joining the Ministry he was the Executive Director of Masdar Clean Energy Unit leading areas of investment, greenfield development, bidding, mergers & acquisitions, asset management and operations for large-scale renewable energy projects locally and globally. Part of his role in Masdar was to oversee Masdar’s Energy Services activities, and its growing portfolio of energy efficiency projects and off-grid renewable energy projects in the MENA region and international markets.
Yousif serves as a member in the board of Directors for the Federal Nuclear Regulation Authority and many other national and international like Shams Power Company, Jordan Wind Power Company (JWPC), Krnovo Green Energy (KGE) in Montenegor and Baynouna Solar Energy PSC.
Prior to Joining Masdar, Mr. Al Ali worked as a plant Engineer for Abu Dhabi Polymers at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
A UAE national with 18 years of outstanding renewable energy and petrochemical industries experience to Masdar Clean Energy.
Mr. Al Ali holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the IE Business School in Madrid, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UAE University, in addition to being a certified Project Management Professional.

Michael Bueker

On May 1, 2020, Michael Bueker became Senior Vice President Finance Middle East and UAE at the newly formed
Siemens Energy.
Born in Essen, Germany, Bueker started his professional career as Lawyer in Investment and Securities Law and continued his development with almost a decade in Corporate Finance with HVB Group in Germany as Vice President Equity Corporate Finance and in Mergers and Acquisitions. During this time Bueker advised on multiple challenging equity capital market transactions and complex company mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
Bueker joined Siemens in Munich, Germany, as a Mergers & Acquisitions Project Manager in 2006. After concluding numerous successful M&A transactions he was promoted to Senior Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions, co-heading Siemens global M&A department. Thereafter he fulfilled various leadership roles in renewable energy and in infrastructure businesses.
In 2010 he was appointed CFO of a Siemens company in Central Eastern Europe before taking on an additional role as global CFO of Siemens Solar Thermal Energy business in 2012.
In 2014, Bueker became the global CFO of the Siemens Postal, Parcel and Airport Logistics business which he consequently and swiftly re-structured, re-organized and positioned to regain and expand a market leading position. He came to the Middle East region as the CFO of Siemens Middle East in February 2018 and led Siemens in the region through the deepest transformation since its inception, separating the Energy business from the other Siemens businesses.

Dr. Cetin Nazikkol

Dr. Nazikkol has been working for thyssenkrupp since 1996. In 2010, he joined thyssenkrupp Elevator as Vice President to develop and implement initiatives to improve the global Service Business. In 2013, he became CEO of thyssenkrupp Turkey, and remained in this position until 2015, when he was appointed as CEO Middle East & Africa (MEA) Regional Headquarters. Since April 2017, he combined his position as MEA Regional Headquarters CEO with the position of CEO for Middle East and Turkey at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions. In 2020, Dr. Nazikkol was appointed CEO for the Regional Platform Asia, Pacific & Africa.

Naoufer Ramoul

Naoufer is well known media figure in the Arab region. She joined Dubai Television in 2010 as a host and producer of the weekly political show “Qabel lil Niqash (Open for Discussion)”, which won the prize of the best Talk-show at the Arab Radio and TV Festival in 2016, 2018 and 2019 organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU). She also produce and present “Expo Yajma'ona” (Expo Brings Us Together), a show that hosts influential Personalities to discover the pavilion of their countries at Expo 2020.
During her career, Naoufer has worked as a writer, reporter and presenter at some of the most prestigious news channels in the Arab world, including Al Jazeera, Al Arabia and Alhurra. Prior to that, she worked as a Radio and TV Presenter in the Tunisian Radio and Television for 10 years.
Naoufer has a Masters degree in Management and Accountancy Sciences. She has taught Management and economics in Tunisia before concentrating on her media career.
Naoufer fluently speaks Arabic, French and English.

Mathias Cormann

Mathias Cormann is the 6th Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). His five-year term commenced on 1 June 2021.
Prior to his appointment to the OECD, Mathias served as the Australian Minister for Finance, the Leader of the Government in the Australian Senate and as Federal Senator representing the State of Western Australia.
In these roles, he has been a strong advocate for the positive power of open markets, free trade and the importance of a rules-based international trading system.
Before migrating to Perth, Mathias had graduated in law at the Flemish Catholic University of Louvain (Leuven), following studies at the University of Namur and, as part of the European Erasmus Student Exchange Program, at the University of East Anglia.
Between 1997 and 2003, he worked as Chief of Staff as well as Senior Adviser to various State and Federal Ministers in Australia and for the Premier of Western Australia.
Between 2003 and 2007, Mathias worked for major Western Australian health insurer HBF in a range of senior management roles.

Mohamed El Ghamry is the UAE Country Head of Global Trade and Receivables Finance for HSBC in the UAE.
In this role Ghamry is responsible for the UAE Trade Finance business leading more than 100 trade finance professionals, working with corporate and institutional clients in the UAE to finance their working capital and facilitate their Global trade. In addition to this, Ghamry is working with clients to structure and deliver solutions to optimize access to supply chains and digitize the trade transaction banking journey.
In his prior role as Regional Head of Trade Services Ghamry led 300 team members across 8 Countries including 2 offshore service centers. Notable work included the establishment of the first trade finance service center in Cairo and adoption of AI and robotic technology to enhance the customer journey.
With more than 20 years of experience, Ghamry brings strong sector expertise from a variety of roles with a track record in leading transformational changes. Mohamed has held Regional

Mohammed Al Qasim

Mohammed Al-Qasim is the Director of Science and Technology Adoption and Development at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, UAE. Before being assigned to his current position, Al-Qasim was the Director of Council Affairs at the Prime Minister Office overlooking all national and international stakeholders supporting the UAE’s Advanced Sciences dossier. From 2008 until 2019, and prior to joining the government, Al-Qasim gained national and international experience. He assumed several positions with Dubai Petroleum, TOTAL SA, and ADNOC. Al-Qasim has managed various oil and gas development projects for different countries around the world which include: UAE, Qatar, Brazil, Uganda, Kazakhstan, and Congo.
Born and raised in Dubai, Al-Qasim graduated from the University of Waterloo, Canada with a degree in Geotechnical Engineering. He was then offered a scholarship from TOTAL to complete a Master of Science in Reservoir Engineering at the Institut Francais Du Petrole, Paris before joining TOTAL full-time in 2009.
